To improve the intelligibility and amplification of the speech signal, an automatic sound amplification system was installed in the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
The automatic system is based on the Electro-Voice N8000 audio processor, in which all speech signals from microphones are entered, processed through equalizers and signal delays, priorities and matrix distribution are built for different zones of the Temple, including the adjacent street area. After processing, the sound signals are sent for processing before the sound signal power amplifier.
All microphones are connected via radio systems, thereby removing all cables from view during installation of sound equipment. With the help of additional amplifying antennas, hand-held or lavalier radio systems can be used outdoors.
The main miniature microphones Electro-Voice Re920 were installed near the gates of the iconostasis, on the Menorah, on both sides of the Iconostasis for the Readers, a wired microphone on the chandelier and a choir microphone Electro-Voice RE20.

Acoustic calculation determines the sound pressure that must be achieved at each point of the hall and allows you to determine the optimal location of the speakers to create the necessary sound field. Electroacoustic calculation allows you to determine the required power of electroacoustic systems and the distribution of this power between the speakers.
Both calculations are carried out using specialized programs and methods, such as the reverberation method, the radiation method from the source, the superposition method, etc. These programs allow you to determine the optimal dimensions of the hall, the location of the speakers and other parameters that will create a high-quality sound field and ensure comfortable listening to music for all spectators.
Acoustic calculation is performed for rooms where constant sound of music, voices, and other sound effects are planned. Residential premises also need such design, but not as obviously as specialized ones. For example, theaters, assembly halls, presentation rooms must undergo a special inspection.
Particular attention is paid today to old concert halls, theater facilities, since previously they did not do acoustic design, now this stage is one of the requirements for the reconstruction or construction of specialized areas.
1. Defining system requirements: Before you begin designing, you need to define the system requirements. This may include power, frequency range, number of channels, etc.
2. Selecting components: Once you have defined the requirements, you need to select the system components. These may include amplifiers, speakers, mixing consoles, cables, etc. It is important to select components that meet the requirements and provide the best sound quality.
3. Designing the circuit: This step requires you to design a system circuit that includes all the components and how they are connected. The circuit must be logical and efficient to ensure the best sound quality.
4. Testing the system: Once the circuit has been designed, you need to test the system to ensure it is working. This may include checking all the components and connections, as well as testing the sound at different power levels.
5. Tuning the system: Once you have successfully tested the system, you need to tune it for the best sound quality. This may include adjusting volume levels, channel balance, phase correction, etc.
Designing sound reinforcement systems for any facilities: assembly halls, theaters, community centers, concert venues.
We design together with acoustic calculations, which is required for examination and verification of the correctness of the arrangement of acoustic systems.
- we develop projects of the "P" and "RD" stages for MGE and DONM, taking into account all requirements;
