Electro-Voice in Russia

The active use of Electro-Voice in Russia began in the 90s, but the boom and general love for this brand appeared in the 2000s. Then in the manufacturer's line there were the most convenient and diverse sets of the popular series Eliminator, Gladiator, Zx, Sx and of course the linear arrays X-Line, XLD.

The Electro-Voice Eliminator series had two types of low-frequency systems (subwoofers) with one 18-inch LF speaker and with two of the same speakers. A satellite with a 15-inch speaker and monitors with a 12-inch speaker. Later, the Eliminator series was discontinued and replaced by the new Tour X (TX) series, which added power due to new speakers and expanded the model range. The Gladiator series was also absorbed by Tx.

I really liked that in addition to loudspeakers, Electro-Voice produces amplifiers for them, processors with various settings for their own acoustic systems and microphones, as well as an expanded range of accessories.

Electro-Voice microphones were so popular that the manufacturer decided to resume production of several models from the old Cobalt series. The range of vocal and instrumental microphones is so wide that you can choose for any stage sounding task, even for the most complex task of installing a sound broadcasting system for services in the Temple.

Radio microphones had both budget and concert professional series, with different frequency ranges. The Re-2 series of radio microphones was later discontinued, but was always in demand among musicians. The REV series of radio microphones had the ability to be controlled via a computer and replaceable microphone heads allowed them to be used for different tasks. The most stable series of radio systems on the market in Russia - R300 with switchable frequencies had a very good stable signal.

In addition to the use of small sound kits in Russia, Electro-Voice was used to sound sports and concert halls. But Electro-Voice gained particular popularity in the country's entertainment night clubs. Such famous clubs as IKRA, PACHA, Progressive Daddy, Gipsy, B2 sounded on Electro-Voice - this is only in Moscow, in other regions the list was much more extensive, especially in Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Chita, Yaroslavl and St. Petersburg. In addition to entertainment venues, sports venues were also sounded, such as the Tennis Academy in Kazan, the Saturn football stadium in Ramenskoye, Ufa Arena. And of course, the sports facilities of the Winter Olympics in Sochi were sounded: the Russian Hills ski jump and the Olympic Games press center. Electro-Voice was also installed to sound a park in Sochi.

In addition to the park in Sochi, the audio broadcasting system in Moscow's Sokolniki Park was previously upgraded.

All of the above facilities used the EV NetMax matrix audio signal transmission system. The heart of the NetMax system is the Electro-Voice N8000 sound processor with multiple functions for processing and managing audio signals. In Orthodox Churches in the cities of Gubkinsky, Abakan, Ufa, services are broadcast entirely on Electro-Voice equipment. The special appearance of the EVID series in the form of an oval and with two low-frequency speakers attracted both installation companies, designers and end customers.
